UX Designer

Reporting to the Head of Digital, the UX Designer will lead the design of user interfaces, UX research, definition of integration models and evaluation of success, development of wireframes and prototypes, problem solving, testing, storyboards, audits and customer analytics.

The UX Designer is responsible for continuously updating our existing client products with new features to improve UX and support the design and development team ensuring high standards of quality and consistency is maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Design user interfaces across a wide variety of channels including websites, apps, forms and customer comms, and conduct UX research through both qualitative and quantitative methods

  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs, communicating design ideas and prototypes to developers to create feasible user experiences

  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success

  • Conduct testing of sample applications, websites and software to assess UX and ease of design and aesthetics

  • Build storyboards to conceptualise designs to accurately convey optimisation project plans to clients and senior management

  • Enhance UX by creating seamless navigation through various digital programs and interfaces

  • Conducting website audits, undertaking UX audits, user journey analysis, creating wireframes, information architecture reviews and task flows

Requirements and Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role with demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design with a strong portfolio

  • Proficient in design software and knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus

  • Experience creating storyboards and website mapping

  • Ability to create and optimise assets, including iconography and imagery

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture

  • Proficiency with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Figma
